Bangladesh has experienced a decline in mobile internet subscribers since July, following a five-month growth period.

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) reported a decrease of 220,000 subscribers in two months, with an additional drop of 55,000 in August alone.

According to BTRC data, Bangladesh had 129.17 million mobile internet subscribers in June.

The number dropped to 127.52 million in July and further declined to 126.97 million in August.

Despite a decline in mobile internet users, fixed-line internet subscriptions, provided by ISPs and PSTNs, remained stable.

ISP subscribers numbered 13.53 million in June and remained the same in July and August.
