NCC Bank distributes agricultural materials, machinery to marginal farmers in Feni

NCC Bank has distributed agricultural materials and machinery free of cost to 1,000 flood-affected and marginal farmers in Chhagalnaiya, Feni Sadar, Parshuram, Fulgazi, Daganbhuiyan, and Sonagazi as part of its special CSR initiative in the agricultural sector, according to a media statement Monday.
The distribution ceremony, held on Saturday (November 30) in Chhagalnaiya and Feni Sadar, was attended by Feni Deputy Commissioner Saiful Islam as chief guest, and NCC Bank Chairman Md Nurun Newaz Salim as guest of honour. Various agricultural supplies, including vegetable and rice seeds, fertilisers, pesticides, and backpack sprayers, were distributed to the farmers.
NCC Bank Managing Director M Shamsul Arefin presided over the event, with Feni Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Avishek Das and Chhagalnaiya Upazila Nirbahi Officer Subal Chakma attending as special guests.
Deputy Managing Director Md. Monirul Alam, Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, SVP of CRM Division Muhammad Shahidul Islam, SVP and Regional Head of South-East Region Mohammad Nurul Haque, and branch managers and officers from Feni, Chhagalnaiya, Mohipal, Parshuram, and Laxmipur branches of NCC Bank also attended.
Deputy Commissioner Saiful Islam praised the bank's initiative, stating that the distribution of agricultural materials and machinery would greatly benefit marginal farmers and contribute to increased food production in the region. He thanked the authorities of NCC Bank for supporting the farmers.
Chairman Md Nurun Newaz Salim emphasised that NCC Bank is not only focused on profit but also on social responsibility. He mentioned that under the special CSR programme, the bank is distributing various agricultural supplies and machinery in different parts of the country to boost agricultural production. He expressed hope that the bank would also provide crop preservation facilities and advanced agricultural technology to farmers in the near future.
Managing Director M Shamsul Arefin highlighted the NCC Bank’s commitment to the country's food security. He stated that the bank’s initiative to support marginal farmers with agricultural materials and machinery is part of its ongoing social responsibility efforts, aimed at improving agricultural productivity across the nation.
