NCC Bank observes National Mourning Day

NCC Bank organised a discussion meeting and dua mahfil on Tuesday to observe the 48th anniversary of martyrdom of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other martyrs.

Members of the board of directors of the bank paid homage with bouquet of flowers on Bangabandhu’s portrait, says a press release.

Managing Director and CEO (C.C.) M. Shamsul Arefin, Deputy Managing Directors Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan and Md. Mahbub Alam, SEVP and CIO Mohammed Anisur Rahman, SEVP and Head of Operations Syed Tofail Ali,  SEVP and CFO Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, SEVP and Company Secretary Md. Monirul Alam, EVP and Head of Marketing and Branches Division Mohammad Ridwanul Hoque  and VP of HRD A.H.M. Abdus Sadik Khan ‍paid floral wreath at Bangabandhu’s portrait at the Mujib Corner of head office.

Chairman of the bank Md. Abul Bashar, Director and former Chairman Md. Abdul Awal, Vice-Chairman Ms. Tanzina Ali (virtually) and Managing Director and CEO (C.C.) M. Shamsul Arefin along with member of the senior management team and all divisional heads of Head Office participated in the discussions and dua mahfil (special prayer).

Head of Branches also joined the discussion meeting and special dua mahfil virtually.

Principal of Uttar Badda Islamia Kamil Madrasa and Member of the Shari'ah Supervisory Committee of NCC Bank Dr. Md. Anwar Hosain Molla conducted the prayer.

Besides, as part of the program, national flag was hoisted half-mast at head office premises and digital advertisements were also displayed at bank’s website and social media.

The bank has also taken various initiatives like tree plantation activities, helping poor and distress people and so on to mark the Month of Mourning.
