Nurul Alam Chowdhury appointed CEO of South Asia Insurance Company Ltd.

The appointment of Muhammad Nurul Alam Chowdhury as CEO of South Asia Insurance Company Ltd. has been approved by the Insurance Development Regulatory Authority (IDRA).

Mr Chowdhury, a renowned educationalist, writer and Insurance personality, has 34 years of experience in non-life insurance sector, working with Eastern Insurance, Meghna Insurance and lastly served Islami Insurance Bangladesh Ltd. from the year 1999 to 2023.

He started his journey as intern with Eastern Insurance Co. Ltd. back in 1990 from Accounts dept.

Later, he switched over to versatile journey working in different departments in different role in insurance sector. Gradually, he worked in Finance & Accounts, HR & Admin, Underwriting, Internal Audit and lastly Marketing department.

Mr Muhammad Nurul Alam Chowdhury completed his Honours & Masters from Jagannath University, Dhaka. Later, he was certified by Canadian Education Centre as a CGA and also improved his professional skills by acquiring training and certificates from BIA, DCCI and DSE. He also acquired valuable knowledge and awarded certificate by these institutions covering Tax, Vat, Accounting, Conventional of Islamic Insurance Bangladesh Ltd. etc.
