Orientation program for 2nd batch students of ICSB Chattogram branch of Chartered Secretary Course held

The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) has organized an Orientation Program for the students of 2^nd Batch of ICSB Chattogram Branch (55^th Batch) of the Chartered Secretary (CS) Course on Sunday, 9 February 2025, at 6:00 PM at Chattogram Branch, CDA Avenue, East Nasirabad (in hybrid mode).

The Inauguration Session was attended by a good number of students, according to a press release. 

Mr. Md. Delowar Hossain FCS, Chairman of Chattogram Regional Chapter Sub Committee of the Institute moderated the program.

He began by welcoming the newly admitted students to the new chapter of their lives, and then detailed how this professional qualification would be instrumental in their career advancement.

Mr. Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan FCS, Council Member and Chairman of Examination Committee of ICSB provided an overview of the course and examination process.

He urged the newly admitted students to attend classes regularly and diligently. He briefly explained the prospects of the Chartered Secretary profession and assured about constant cooperation.

Mr. Md. Sharif Hasan FCS, Council Member of ICSB welcomed new students and focused on the importance of this profession.

He appreciated all aspiring Chartered Secretaries for taking the right decision, which will not only accelerate their professional growth but also contribute to the nation's economic growth. He motivated students to work for the betterment of this profession.

While delivering the speech, Mr. M Nurul Alam FCS, Acting President of ICSB conveyed profound admiration and honour to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the anti-discrimination movement and prayed for the recovery of the injured citizens.

He extended a warm welcome to all newly admitted students, and highlighted the career prospect of Chartered Secretary profession.

He urged the students to strive for academic excellence, personal values and social concern. He mentioned it as a rewarding profession all across the globe.

Then he officially inaugurated the 2^nd Batch of ICSB Chattogram Branch (55^th Batch) of the Chartered Secretary (CS) Course.

Among other dignitaries, Mr. Mohammad Sanaullah FCS, Council Member and Past President; Mr. Salim Ahmed FCS, Council Member of ICSB were present; while Mr. Rajib Saha FCS, Mr. A.M.M. Myeen Uddin Mazumder ACS and Mr. Md. Abul Kalam Azad ACS delivered speech.

Mr. Md. Sohel Sarker ACS were also present at the event.

The programme was concluded with a Vote of Thanks from Mr. Md Zakir Hossain, Secretary & Chief Executive Officer of ICSB.

In the concluding note, he encouraged new students to come forward to learn unique professional skills from CS Course which can be instrumental in developing careers, the release adds.
