Over 1,500 marginal farmers get ‘AB Bank Smart Agri Loan’ in Kushtia

AB Bank Limited has disbursed agricultural loans among more than 1,500 small and marginal farmers under through smart cards in Kushtia.

The loans were disbursed through a programme at the auditorium of Zilla Shilpakala Academy in the district, according to a press release.

Md. Mahbubul Alam Hanif, the Member of Parliament from Kushtia-3 constituency, was present at the loan disbursement event as chief guest. 

Barrister Selim Altaf George, the Member of Parliament from the Kushtia-4 constituency; Mohammad Saidul Islam, Deputy Commissioner of Kushtia; and Kushtia Zila Parishad Chairman Md. Sadar Uddin Khan were present at the programme as special guests.

Mr. Tarique Afzal, president and managing director of AB Bank Limited, presided over the meeting. In his speech at the event, Tarique Afzal said, “In our path towards farmers development, Padma Bridge is testament to our abilities.”

Local political leaders along with other officials of the bank also attended the programme.
