Parvez Tamal re-elected NRBC Bank chairman

SM Parvez Tamal and Rafiqul Islam Mia Arzoo were unanimously re-elected the chairman and vice chairman respectively of NRBC Bank at the 167th meeting of the bank's board of directors held on Sunday, says a press release.

Earlier at the bank's 10th annual general meetings (AGM), they were re-elected directors through direct voting by the shareholders.

The appointments of SM Parvez Tamal, Rafiqul Islam Mia Arzoo and Abu Bakr Chowdhury as directors have got the approval of Bangladesh Bank.

SM Parvez Tamal, a successful expatriate and sponsor-shareholder of NRBC Bank, first assumed the position of the chairman of the board of directors on December 10, 2017.

Under his leadership and guidance, NRBC Bank has made significant progress in serving the rural communities of Bangladesh over the past five years.

Mr Tamal, who holds a master's degree from the Institute of Statistics and Economics in Russia, is also a successful entrepreneur in the field of IT distribution.

Vice Chairman Rafiqul Islam Mia Arzoo, who obtained his graduate degree from Georgia Technical University, is a successful entrepreneur and businessman with experience in Russia.
