Prime Bank Foundation awards scholarship to 234 students

Prime Bank Foundation, a wing of Prime Bank PLC, on Saturday awarded scholarships to 234 meritorious but unprivileged students under its Education Support Programme at Golf Garde, Army Golf Club in Dhaka.

Mr Azam J Chowdhury, Chairman of Prime Bank Foundation was present as the Chief Guest and Ms Rasheda K Chowdhury, Member, Advisory Committee, Education Support Programme was the Special Guest of the programme, according to a press release.

Mr Tanjil Chowdhury, Chairman of Prime Bank PLC, Mr Hassan O Rashid, CEO of Prime Bank PLC, and Maj Gen Dr Md Nayeem Ashfaque Chowdhury (Retd), CEO of Prime Bank Foundation, among others were present.

Launched in 2007, the Education Support Programme is a flagship initiative of the Prime Bank Foundation, offering scholarships to academically gifted yet financially disadvantaged students across 64 districts to pursue their graduation-level studies. To date, 4,242 students have benefited from the programme. This year, 234 new students were awarded scholarships at the ceremony.

In addition to the scholarship programme, Prime Bank Foundation has established Prime Bank Grammar School, Prime Bank Eye Hospital, and Prime College of Nursing, Dhaka and is developing an international standard school and general hospital.
