Prime Bank organises workshop on ‘International Factoring’ for exporters

Prime Bank recently organised a workshop to empower exporters with innovative financial solutions.

Titled ‘Facilitating Trade Finance: Challenges and Opportunities’,  the workshop was geared towards the bank’s premier export clientele to introduce them to ‘International Factoring’, Prime Bank’s latest financial product, and inform the participants about the latest industry regulations.

Dr Prashanta Kumar Banerjee, professor at Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM), presided over the workshop, which took place in the capital, according to a press release.

At the workshop, Dr Banerjee explained the concept of Factoring as a vital and alternative financing tool. He underscored its importance in mitigating business risks and expediting the cash flow, both are essential for thriving in today’s competitive export markets.

Highlighting the practical aspects of these innovations, Md. Rafiqul Islam, Vice President of the Trade Services Division at Prime Bank, provided insights into regulatory compliance to improve the participants’ understanding and manoeuvrability within the complex landscape of international trade finance.

Other senior officials of the Prime Bank were also present at the workshop.
