Rupali Bank gets new GM

Rupali Bank Deputy General Manager Mohammad Safayet Hossain has recently been promoted to General Manager of the bank through a circular of Financial Institution Department of Finance Ministry.

After the promotion, Mr Hossain has joined Rupali Bank Training Academy as the Principal. Earlier, he worked as the Deputy General Manager at the training academy of the bank, said a press release.

He joined Rupali Bank as a senior officer through Bankers’ Recruitment Committee (BRC) in 2001. Earlier in 2000, he joined Agrani Bank through BRC. He started his career as a lecturer at Baradhushia Adarsha College in Cumilla in 1999. He stood first in the merit list among the 35 promoted general managers of the state-owned banks.

The experienced banker has worked as a desk officer in several branches, including the corporate branch of the bank.  He also worked in the general banking, discipline and appeal, MD’s monitoring cell, board secretariat and other departments of the head office. He also worked as the Zonal Manager of Cumilla as the DGM.
