Shahjalal Islami Bank holds ‘Annual Risk Management Conference-2024’

Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC (SJIBPLC) organised “Annual Risk Management Conference-2024” on 30th November 2024 through Hybrid Platform, says a press release.

The conference was presided over by the Managing Director of the bank while Director, Department of Off-Site Supervision of Bangladesh Bank A N M Moinul Kabir was present as chief guest at the conference.

Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors & member of Risk Management Committee (RMC) of the bank Mohammed Younus, Director of the bank and Chairman of Executive Committee Akkas Uddin Mollah and Director of the bank Md Sanaullah Shahid were also present as special guests in the conference.

Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank’s Off-Site Supervision Department Nazmin Nahar was also present at the conference and took part in the discussion.

In the Hybrid system meeting, the speakers discussed overall Risk Profile of the bank, Risk Management Framework, Assessment of the Risk Management in the bank, Investment Risk Management, Money Laundering Risk, Core Risks Management and upcoming challenges of the bank.

EVP of Risk Management Division of the bank Mohammed Abu Shayem moderated the programme.

Among others, Additional Managing Directors of the bank Abdul Aziz, M Akhter Hossain, Deputy Managing Directors Imtiaz U Ahmed and M M Saiful Islam were present at the conference.

Apart from this, more than 900 participants, including the heads of different Divisions and Executives from the Corporate Head Office, the Branch Managers of 140 Branches and 04 Sub Branches, as well as the Executives and Officers from Branches, participated in the event.
