Shahjalal Islami Bank organises Financial Literacy Seminar in Cumilla

Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC organised a Financial Literacy Seminar in Cumilla district on remittance to raise social awareness about the legal channel of expatriate income for wage earners and their family members on Saturday.
The SEVP & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Mr. Md. Jafar Sadeq, FCA was present as the chief guest in the programme, according to a media release.
The programme was attended by approximately 30 participants, who were all wage earners and their family members. The objective of the programme was to encourage people of Cumilla district to receive remittance from abroad through formal and legal way,s instead of informal ways like hundi.
Among others, the manager of Cumilla branch of the bank Mr. Mohammad Kamruzzaman, the manager of Gunabati branch of the bank Mr. Md. Yusuf Imran, the manager of Brahmanpara branch Mr. Gazi Md. Golam Rabbi, the manager of Debidwar branch Mr. Md. Moin Uddin, Mr. SahabubAlam, AVP and Mr. Mohammad Manzur Rahman, AVP as members of Financial Inclusion Unit of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, and the in-charge of Foreign Remittance of the bank Mr. Shakhawat Hossain were also present in the programme.
