Shimanto Bank Limited has been renamed Shimanto Bank PLC, effective from December 5, 2023, in compliance with the recent amendment to the Companies Act, according to a press release.
Shareholders' approval was granted for this change. Bangladesh Bank issued a circular in this respect, and the Gazette was published yesterday.
Shimanto Bank started its operation as a commercial bank in 2016. The bank now operates as a full-fledged commercial bank, establishing branches, sub-branches, service centres, and ATM booths across the country.
