Social Islami Bank launches month-long campaign

Social Islami Bank launched a month-long campaign on cash waqf, hajj and zakat ahead of the month of Ramadan recently at the bank’s head office with a view to creating awareness for the welfare of life of the Muslim here and hereafter.

Zafar Alam, managing director and CEO, inaugurated the campaign as chief guest, while Mohammad Forkanullah, deputy managing director, presided over the programme, according to a press release.  

Abdul Hannan Khan and Mohammad Habibur Rahman, deputy managing directors, and Syed Joynul Abedin, head of Shariah Supervisory Committee Secretariat, spoke at the event.

Divisional heads and senior executives of the head office were present at the event.

Zonal heads, branch managers, operation managers and sub-branch in-charges joined the programme virtually.

Zafar Alam, managing director and CEO, emphasised the bank’s range of distinctive products tailored for religious practices. These offerings facilitate the performance of Hajj, Zakat, and enable individuals to donate wealth via perpetual endowment using the bank’s Cash Waqf account.

He urged all stakeholders to promote these products extensively to reach a wider audience.
