Sonali Bank begins observing month of mourning

The month of mourning began on Tuesday. Country’s largest state-owned Sonali Bank PLC with the nation is recalling the brutal assassination of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family members on the fateful night of August 15, 1975.

To observe the month, Sonali Bank PLC Board of Directors Chairman Ziaul Hasan Siddiqui and CEO and Managing Director Md Afzal Karim have drawn up a month-long programme by wearing black badges on the first day of August at Bangabandhu corner of the bank’s head office.

Among others, Deputy Managing Director Kazi Md Wahidul Islam, Parsoma Alam and other officials were present on the occasion.
