Syngenta’s Asia head Paul Luxton visits Bangladesh

Paul Luxton, head of Asia at Syngenta, is going to start his visit to Bangladesh on Monday.

During his visit, Paul will travel to the northern district of the country to meet smallholder farmers that Syngenta has been enabling with its technological advancement to improve their livelihoods, according to a press release.

He will also visit CENTRIGO, a new farming ecosystem initiative that offers end-to-end solutions to growers and ‘Farmer School’, an integrated learning and awareness hub to empower the farming community.

With a distinguished 30-year career, Paul has held key leadership roles at Syngenta, where he has driven growth by aligning Syngenta's global R&D strategies with local agricultural needs, leading to innovations and progress in the agricultural sector.

Syngenta is a joint venture public limited company, where 60 per cent of the shares are held by Syngenta AG Switzerland and 40 per cent of the shares are held by the Bangladesh government through Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC).
