The government is expected to launch a drive for sale of key essential items from mid-May to support around 10 million low-income families, a source said.
He, however, said the drive might begin on May 14, 2023.
The state-owned Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will sell essential commodities in different parts of the country through its dealers and at a number of certain spots.
Soybean oil, sugar and lentils will be available at Tk 110, Tk 60 and Tk 70 per kilogram respectively at the sale points, he added.
