Three international expos on building & construction, wood, electrical products start at ICCB

Three international expos for building & construction, wood, electrical products have kicked off at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka city.

Begun on Thursday, the 7th Bangladesh BUILDCON 2023, the 7th Bangladesh WOOD 2023 and the 2nd Bangladesh ELPROTECH will continue through Saturday, according to a press release.

The tradeshows, with over 150 exhibitors, will offer exciting sourcing options with a wide variety on display for the building & construction sector, the furniture sector, and the electric products-related industry.

Of the expos, Bangladesh BUILDCON will showcase the latest innovations from overseas suppliers besides Bangladesh companies; Bangladesh WOOD will exhibit machinery, materials, tools, furnishings, mattresses, and more; and Bangladesh ELPROTECH will display international suppliers of machinery, accessories, and spares related to electrical products.

The three-in-one sourcing shows under one roof are jointly being organised by ASK Trade and Exhibitions and Futurex Trade Fair and Events.

MD Shamsudduha, additional chief engineer at the Public Works Department, addressed the inauguration ceremony of the shows as the chief guest.

Organisers of the shows hope to provide good sourcing options for the visitors through the shows, as after a gap of a few years due to the pandemic, Chinese exhibitors are back in the current edition, thus providing an interesting product line to source from.

“Over the years, the stakeholders have been using our shows to source from international suppliers who are present in large numbers,” said Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan, managing director of ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd.
