Turkish health giant Nigella World has partnered with Happy Haat Ltd, a Bangladeshi company specialising in safe food production, to promote pesticide-free food in this country.

The collaboration aims to bring high-quality, pesticide-free fruits, vegetables, and groceries to the local market, while also expanding Happy Haat’s reach internationally, says a media release.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Nigella World and Happy Haat at a city hotel on Tuesday.

Fatih Eke, chairman of Nigella World, and Ashraful Haq Chowdhury, secretary general of the D-8 Chambers of Commerce and Industry (D-8 CCI), inked the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.

Ashraful Haq Chowdhury chaired the function while Fatih Eke delivered the welcome address.

According to the deal, a team of six food scientists and agricultural experts at Happy Haat will oversee the production process to maintain the natural flavour and quality of the produce.

Nigella World, renowned for its natural health products, including black seed-based supplements, oils, and safe food items, has established a strong presence across 63 countries, said the release.

The partnership will enable the promotion and sales of pesticide-free food through vertical and contract farming with local farmers, ensuring products are free from harmful chemicals, the event organisers said.

Together, the two companies aim to support sustainable agriculture and improve the supply of healthy, pesticide-free food for Bangladeshi consumers, it reads.
