An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted South Africa at 2:51 am (00:51 GMT) on Sunday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 30.39 degrees south latitude and 19.45 degrees east longitude, reports Xinhua.
